Open Door Christian Fellowship is an interdenominational community of students learning to follow Jesus in college! We aim to be a place where people of any spiritual background and any culture can find belonging on campus, explore their questions of faith, and figure out who Jesus is.

 
 

Meet the Staff and Volunteers

Kaitlin Owens

Kaitlin’s journey with Everett Community College began in 2007 as a student. After her studies at EvCC, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Central Washington University. In 2018, Kaitlin returned to EvCC to serve as an instructional laboratory technician in the physical sciences department. Beyond her technical role, she has been involved in campus life, contributing to various clubs, including Open Door. Kaitlin is passionate about supporting students as they pursue their goals and deepen their faith, fostering both personal and academic growth.

Steven Ambo

Steven graduated from the University of Washington and has been on staff for 12 years. He served for ten years in Oregon at Portland State University, Portland Community College, and Willamette University, then moved back to the Puget Sound, where he now lives with his spouse and toddler.

He has enjoyed getting to know Everett Community College and be involved in Open Door over the past year and is looking forward to what the Lord has in store for the ministry this year!
